Are you still behind this stock? I'm an "older" person and do anything I can online, in fact, have been buying scripts online for over a decade. I think the last time I was in an actual drugstore was in 2013. Thanks for the knowledge you share!

Boots in the UK does best from last-minute airport duty-free shopping on sun lotion, travel kits, and snacks, plus they get a lot of trade from busy folks grabbing lunch during working days or waiting for a train at places like Kings Cross, and Christmas gifts like perfume and hair dryers. I know from friends working for them (I've done temp work with them over Christmas previously) that most of their sales are from those types of products rather than pharmacy (they had a lot of pharmacists leave for independent companies recently too) so Amazon is less of a threat from that standpoint. Now, if Amazon was to open up shops at airports and train stations, WHSMITHS, Boots and companies like that would be dead overnight. Which really is something to think about!

You can't just make investment decisions based on PE ratios like this though (Walgreens) because that's backwards-looking. That said, I think Walgreens and CVS will continue to exist, though perhaps in a different format, in the future.
