After being a customer of Audible for the last 18 months, I decided to do a review of the service going into 2020. Using Audible has benefited my life in many ways, and I think it is a great subscription as long as you use it. I think it is just like a gym membership, if you actually use it the benefits far outweigh the cost.

Just beware. If you return more then one book Audible will lock up your account and prevent you from returning any more books. This is what they did to me despite the fact that I returned two books that were around the $2.95 mark. Books of low quality (hence the price). The quality was so low they were terrible. They say you get free returns for 365 days. THIS IS A LIE.

I don’t like that system with those “credits” it would be better if it was an limited like Netflix.

I agree with this guy for the most part. There is one other con which he didn't mention. It can be worth it if you're using it, however I'm about to get a trucking job and I was looking into this so I have something to listen to over the road. However, give or take, you're going to be listening to One book a day. That means that you would be purchasing 20+ books a month if you were going to listen to a book a day, which adds up.

Can you listen as the pages turn or do you just get the screen shot of the book cover?

Yeah, CEOs read 60 books per year, yet without understanding them. Seriously, how long before the world grows out of book-shaming other people? As if there was no other things worthwhile in life than just reading books. How many classical albums do CEOs listen? How many poor people do they help? How many elderly people do they help with carrying groceries, per year?

I simply don’t get why there’s the need to pay a subscription as well as the book. Either one or the other. If I want to enter a book store I don’t need to pay for it. This is the only thing holding me back. It’s just too much money to enter the book store…

Try google play – almost half the price for books than Audible. I am a Prime member and switched from audible because the prices are higher than almost all other audio book companies. Amazon is one of the greediest companies on this planet, so compare to other companies before signing up with Amazon please.

YOU CANT SAY THAT A CEO READS BOOKS AND THEN COMPARE THAT WITH SOMEONE ELSE READING BOOKS TO YOU. THAT IS NOT AND WILL NEVER BE THE SAME.

You somehow manage to start a video off with the most cliché reverse-causality argument on reading books ever, which probably isn't even true to begin with, wow… I'm getting strong "here in my garage" vibes from this video.

What I don’t like about the audible app is that it assumes you have an Amazon account, if you don’t it dosent let you create one, it says sign or asks if you’ve forgotten your password

wait a sec.. so I only get one audiobook a month for 15 bucks?
sound like the biggest rip off ever tbh
