Following our release of our video titled:
No Mortgage Payments For 1 Year
…many of you asked us whether renters would receive the same or similar treatment.

Well, the Federal Housing Finance Agency just announced that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac will grant mortgage forbearance to owners of multifamily properties in exchange for suspending evictions.

This means that if you are a renter and you find yourself in a situation where you can’t afford to make your monthly payments due to the coronavirus crisis, your landlord has ample opportunity to help you remain in your home.

Be sure to note that this move by the Federal Housing Finance Agency only applies to Fannie and Freddie-backed mortgages. Since a majority of the mortgages in the US are backed by Fannie and Freddie, chances are pretty good that your landlord’s mortgage is too.
