"90% of solving problems is realizing that there is one." Great quote

Dave just told this guy who is making nearly 300K a year that he and his wife can contribute to Roth IRAs.  Unfortunately that plan won't work as they are income limited and cannot contribute…

Just made my first extra payment towards a bill, a financed mattress. Dumb as hell thing to buy on credit but really is the greatest night's sleep I have ever had. Luckily it is interest free financing so I am not paying any more for it than I would have if I would have bought it outright but still making the minimums to pay it off would take 2 years and it is slowing me down from dumping money into other debts that do have interest, like my student loans. With the plan I have set in place and a very tight budget, I should be able to take this first small debt from 2 years down to 3 months and have it paid in full. Feels really good to have done this.

Dave!!! I still do old school check writing, entering in the check register, and balance my checkbook with my calculator from high school! And I'm 39!!! Good for the brain to think for yourself!

I'm 15 now and have somewhere around 1200 in my credit union that my mom set up for me when I was born she put like 200 in it and everything else was from birthdays, communion confirmation, I have a post office account with 200 of my own money from overreaching, lawn care etc… I've made about 500 this summer and reinvested 220 back into my business rest I blew for stupid reasons I know I could've made a €1000 this summer if I set my mind to it but I didn't you live and you learn I guess I've decided I'm gonna save 50% of what I make up until I'm 18 to start in business my math says somewhere below 3500 I probably will have more in dropping out next year to become a plasterer because I'm good with my hands and I hate school. Any chance I can talk to you about some stuff?, thanks
