Yeah but you don't wanna buy a car that's gonna break down after 10 miles. Buy a new car

the other pro of having an older car with no car payments is its much less likely to be broken into.

Humiliate comes from the word, to Humble. And if ever there was a place to be humbled wouldn't it be your church? Sounds like someone's not quite right with God

So how do I get rich so I can buy one like rich people who enjoy luxury?

Often an old car costs so much in repairs that a car payment is actually cheaper, as long as it's not for a crazy expensive car.
This video over simplifies the issue.

Am I the only one who wants a car like that? No A/C, very little heat, vinyl roof held together with duct tape, the color being bondo. I want to be humiliated. Am I the only one who craves being laughed at?

This man is a Living Legend. Not many people would be humble enough to drive a car like that. My FJ Cruiser now has 301,000+ miles and it's still going like the Energizer Bunny 🐰.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that I'm 41 years old and my networth is $1.1 million thanks to Dave's teachings.

    200$ car 😂😂

  23. Ian Zulick
    July 21, 2021 at 2:46 am

There are the car guys who love fast cars or luxury cars or classic cars and there's nothing wrong with any of that, but then there are are others like me who love junkers. I could afford to drive something nicer than my $200 car, but there's something inexplicable about my love for it that surpasses logic. When I sit down in the driver's seat and start it, the car reminds me of growing up in the 90s. Everything from the smell of the upholstery to the broken tape deck and the sagging headliner held up by thumb tacks takes me back to a simpler time before technology began to steal the soul of the driving experience. What someone wants or likes in a car is highly subjective. Sometimes it's not about being proud of anything.

i have two cars one with 286k miles on it and one with 331k miles on it. They run, get me from a to b, would rather put the money I would spend on a monthly car payment into more important things. Its tough, I could go out and buy something new, but discipline is not easy until it becomes habit.

I have an MBA in business. We make money off of fools. In your desperate attempt to keep up with the Jones we make sure you drown in debt. We can then buy exotic cars and expensive homes and you pay for it not us

Ok so… while I agree we need to stay within our budget. Its crazy to think people are gonna save 20k-30k for a quality vehicle. Not all debt is created equal. Im a temporary teacher that moves very often all around the southwest. It would be madness to think im gonna get rid of my furniture and risk being stranded on the highway while moving to a new place. 30k for a BMW, yes, is a waste of money. But having car payments for a high quality-long lasting truck as a Tacoma (30k-41k) that can get you anywhere. I belive is as great as investments can be.

Im 19, making 20k per year and have no car and no expenses, I live with my parents. Im going to save up 14k this year and buy a 2013 or 2014 Accord, Civic, Camry, or Corolla with 30k miles on it. There's no point in me getting a loan if I can just save up for a year

I spent $2500 on a 2005 Mazda6 sportwagon. It's lasted me a year and a half so far, and I've spent about $1400 on repairs and tires, not including oil changes. So all-in, excluding gas, I'm probably about $4900 in. This car is now safe, reliable, and I do not foresee future repairs for a long while. The lack of car payments has been gnarly, and this thing has so much space! I brought home a futon in it!
