East Buchanan High School made history on Saturday, November 21, 2020 when they won the Class 1 Missouri State Football Championship. The Bulldogs beat the top-ranked Westran Hornets in a hard-fought battle at the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis.

The Bulldogs had been the underdog throughout the playoffs, but they proved their worth when they came out on top with a 24-18 victory. Quarterback Max Gebhardt put on an impressive performance with three touchdown passes and two interceptions. He was also named the game’s MVP.
