The Stock Investing Strategy for Idiots or Geniuses? [Rich Dad StockCast]

the-stock-investing-strategy-for-idiots-or-geniuses-rich-dad-stockcast

This episode is about one of, if not THEE, investment strategy pushed on us every day by the media, financial planners, brokers, authors, you name it.

The strategy that everyone is so fond of is called DIVERSIFICATION.

This is what Warren Buffet says about diversification:
“Diversification is a protection against ignorance,” Buffett once said. “[It] makes very little sense for those who know what they’re doing.”

But possibly the best is Mark Cuban’s,
“Diversification is for idiots.”

But what we really want to know is what Rich Dad Advisor, Andy Tanner, has to say.

And of course, you’ll want more Andy Tanner….

You should also mention this quote from Warren Buffett: "For most people, the best thing to do is to own the S&P 500 low fee index fund"

Andy, I do thank you. Because of you and your wonderful sons (at the richdad radioshow, 2 years ago) me and my sons started investing stocks. Can you tell us about the how to invest with option (Call, Put). I want to try but I think I am still afraid because so many people tells me that this is not something a individual investor can manage well.

Now I realized why I felt so attractive to diversity (I was told!! even I thought that it was my idea) and why I shouldn't follow the advice. Thank you a lot.

It’s crazy what he said at around 20:57, I was thinking about that earlier in the video. The idea that you ARE serving people by investing in companies that “serve” millions.

And now they're showing how to do well in the stock market
I'm a bit confused could someone explain me that ?

Appreciate the show Andy and Greg! A question I have is how long can accommodative monetary conditions continue in an deflationary economy and bottomed out interest rates? The current wrench in the system is the fed operating under modern monetary policy. The only intrinsic value of the dollar is the threat of confiscation or incarceration for failure to pay taxes in fiat currency.

As such the money can continue to be injected into the economy and select industries subsidized at the government’s discretion. Observing outcomes in previous popped bubbles perhaps has encouraged an aggressive approach to quantitative easing.

A lot could depend on the rate of inflation and if it remains flat or switches on. Perhaps you could give a show on the impact of inflation on equities.

Thank you for asking for our suggestion for future shows topic. I would highly appreciate you can do frequent shows may be every day or every other day on current market trend and best stocks/cryptos/eft's to buy for long term investing also for day trading and short term investment. Looking forward to more and more videos on day trading and investing and please do cover crypto. And considering how volatile the market is in crypto a daily update maybe for few minutes will be great as well as the longer podcast that you will do more often as well 🙂

    Topics:

Asset protection for people who want to trade / invest rather than buy, hold, and pray in a 401(k). You can give "some ways that this is done" so as to avoid giving fiduciary advice.

Intro to tax reduction for people who trade / invest outside of retirement accounts.

Hey I heard you mention DeFi. I'm curious what you guys think of DeFi specifically. We can loosely agree that the general consensus on Bitcoin is it is a store of value network. But what about the rest of it? Are they other "money/currency" coins just a repudiation of Bitcoin? What exactly is DeFi? Am I wrong for being a Bitcoin prude?
